Beyond the last row of headstones there is a small chapel with one light still burning.

No one has ever seen the Keeper’s face.

Each night, he sets a table for those who wander between worlds. Dark cacao rest on weathered plates temple incense flows through ancient cedar, damp moss, and cold earth. The lost are drawn toward its bittersweet warmth, souls whose names have faded, whose stories were forgotten, and whose journey home was never finished.

He offers them a seat, listens until they remember who they once were, then guides them through the woods before the first light of morning. By dawn, the table is empty. Only the scent of black vanilla, resin, and chocolate remains.
